Bogna Janik Forbes
Founder of Janik Fitness, specialising in Movement Therapy for over 20 years, and Australian Fitness Industry and Pilates and GYROTONIC® Method involvement for over 20 years.
Bogna has been an International trainer and presenter for over 20 years, now permanently based in Perth, Western Australia. Her technical expertise includes Movement Therapy, Rehabilitation, GYROTONIC® Method, Clinical Pilates, Fitness and Myofascial movement and Bbarre. Since presenting at the Body Life Convention of 2002 in Warsaw, she has been a pioneer of the Pilates method in her native country and was made a representative of Michael King's Pilates Institute UK for Poland. From 2007 Bogna has been retained by the Open Mind Pilates School in Poland and been responsible for the creation of Pilates systems for fitness, pregnancy, rehabilitation, older populations, youth and horse riders. She is the author of a number of articles and her book titled "Pilates The Real Power From Inside".
Her education started in Krakow – Poland where she finished a Masters Degree in Education and a Diploma in Physical Education in 1994. Further qualifications include Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Diploma in Pilates, Diploma in Movement Therapy Certificate III in Group Fitness, Certificate IV in Personal Training and health alliance. Les Mills certified in Body Step, Body Pump, Body Combat, Body Balance.
She has worked over 20 000 hours as a Pilates practitioner. This work includes:
- 10 000 private client hours applying anatomy and physiology to Pilates Method programs for at risk clients, providing exercises for Pilates clients with special requirements and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, GYROTONIC® exercises
- 1 500 hours of instruction the Pilates studio introductory to basic and progressive Reformer repertoire call group reformer classes
- Pilates Studiuj Online, yearly educational course upskilling teachers, instructors and Pilates enthusiasts
On top of that she planned and instructed progressive Pilates matwork classes, trained small groups of people in a semi-private set up. (approximately 4 000 hours), matwork courses.
